surgeons. The Company offers stable, comprehensive malpractice insurance at rates

and commitment to strong defense against unfair claims.
Woodworth was formed in 2006 as a Risk Retention Group under the Federal Liability
Risk Retention Act, which enables business and professional organizations to obtain
liability insurance that had become unavailable or unaffordable due to the lawsuit
crisis and the financial instability of the existing carriers.
As of September, 2007, 715 RRGs were operating in the U.S. Professional liability and malpractice insurance
for healthcare facilities, and physicians and surgeons represent more than 50 percent
of RRG industry premiums.
RRGs have played an important role in reducing and stabilizing malpractice insurance
rates in a number of states and can have the same effect in New York.
